Butler County officials say there are multiple areas available for Christmas tree recycling.
The three specific locations include:
- Seneca Landfill Compost Site on Hartmann Road in Evans City
- Open through January 31st for a $5 fee.
- Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department
- Drop off trees through January 13th at the leaf collection site.
- Slippery Rock Community Park
- Free drop-off through January 15th. Collection site is at the opposite end of the parking lot.
Some communities also offer curbside tree pickup.
County officials say to remove all decorations from trees and plastic bags.
