The Super Bowl match-up is set after Conference championship games were played Sunday.
–The Cincinnati Bengals came back from an 18-point deficit to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 27-24 in overtime to reach the NFL’s biggest game for the first time in 33 years. Evan McPherson kicked the game-winning 31-yard field goal with 9:22 left in the overtime to win the AFC Championship for the Bengals. It tied the record for the largest comeback in an AFC title game.
–The Bengals will face the Los Angeles Rams after the Rams erased a 10-point deficit to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in the NFC Championship game.
The Super Bowl will be played in Los Angeles, the home stadium for the Rams, on Sunday, February 13th.
Because the Bengals have reached the Super Bowl, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris has been named to this Sunday’s Pro Bowl in Las Vegas along with wide receiver Diontae Johnson. They will replace Cincinnati’s Joe Mixon and Ja’Marr Chase. Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward and linebacker T.J. Watt were previously selected in December.
