Butler City Council has approved a contract with one of their groups of employees.
Thursday night Council ratified a tentative agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #32 that runs from the beginning of this month through December of 2028.
The three-year deal will include a 12% raise for the first year followed by 4% raises in 2027 and 2028. According to Mayor Bob Dandoy, this moves the department closer to the Butler County average police salary, but it is not quite there yet.
The fully staffed City Police union of 23 officers has already approved this deal.
