The City of Butler has reached an agreement with the union that represents city employees on a new contract.
This new collective bargaining deal with Local 757/Council 84 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO will take effect January 1st of 2022 through December 31st of 2024.
This three year agreement includes an annual 4% increase in wages. The new deal also modifies some workplace rules as well as updates and clarifies several job descriptions.
This deal still needs to be approved by vote of union membership. The union represents the 18 streets and parks department and city hall employees.
