Butler City residents will not see an increase in tax rates for 2024 as Council kept current rates while approving the budget for the upcoming year.
The total 2024 balanced general fund budget comes in at nearly $10.6 million with a tax rate of 44 mils.
An additional nearly $1.7 million in city money has been designated for the liquid fuels tax fund, the capital projects fund, and the parking fund. These figures are either identical to or very close to last year’s figures.
The budget also includes raises for city employees as outlined in collective bargaining agreements but does not include any appropriation of funds from the sale of Butler Area Sewer Authority assets.
