Butler City Council has approved a company to provide a new website for the city along with long-term support and maintenance.
At a cost of $59,000, Neumeric and Weblinx will provide design and development for a new website. An additional $9,000 to $15,000 will be spent on support and training in the first year of operation.
Councilman Don Shearer spent the last couple of months putting together a request for proposal and sifting through 26 bids received to achieve five finalists. Department heads will now work with the company and submit forms like parking permits and shelter rentals that will be available and able to be accepted through the new website.
The development process is expected to continue for about six months with the launch expected early in 2026.
