The City of Butler will not be moving forward with adding more parking kiosks in the downtown area.
After hearing a proposal from a vendor called Flowbird and engaging in a lengthy discussion, City Council voted to reject a proposal from Butts Ticket for the installation of 17 additional kiosks.
The cost of this plan would have been about $105,000 for the equipment along with a monthly monitoring fee for each unit of about $50. The agreement would have included Flowbird Mobile App service.
Council members Mike Walter and Bob Dandoy voted in favor of this proposal while council members Jeff Smith, Kenny Bonus, and Mayor Ben Smith were opposed.
