Butler City Council plans to formally express complaints about trash service to the city’s trash service provider.
The City switched back to Vogel Trash Service at the beginning of this year after previously contracting with Waste Management but it has not been a smooth transition.
“I constatnly get complaints about pick ups being missed. One thing that I noticed is that they advertise recyclable bins, but apparently they pick and choose who they give them to, telling them [the bins] aren’t available in this area,” Councilman Jeff Smith said. “But we’ve got some back outside the City building and if you look at other areas in the City, they’re there.”
Councilman Mike Walter plans to contact Vogel to discuss the situation and make sure the company is aware of the frustration.
