Local firefighters celebrated the career of a longtime City of Butler firemen.
Captain Kevin McAfee retired this week after nearly 40 years of service.
The Butler County 911 Center honored McAfee over the scanner earlier this week.
“Congratulations to Captain Kevin McAfee on the completion of his final shift with the City of Butler Bureau of Fire, capping off a career spanning more than 39 years. We thank you for your service and wish you well in your retirement,” the dispatch said.
The City of Butler is in the process of looking for a pair of candidates to join their fire department.
