Butler City residents will once again able to dispose of leaves at a designated site in a local park.
The city’s compost site at Butler Memorial Park opens this Saturday. City officials say that it will be open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during weekdays. Then on weekends and holidays, the dump will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The dump will remain open through the first week of December.
Leaves must be removed from plastic bags. The dumping of brush and garbage is prohibited.
Curbside collection is provided by the City’s Streets Department. Residents are asked to call the department if collection is needed in a neighborhood.
