A Butler City man is facing charges after admitting to police that he spray painted a racially-charged message on a sidewalk outside the home of an African American man.
City Police say the incident happened Tuesday on East Brady Street when they received a call for graffiti on the sidewalk that was derogatory toward African Americans.
Following an investigation, police identified 44-year-old Philip Rienzi of Butler as a suspect. Police say he admitted to spray painted the graffiti after recent interactions he had with the man.
