After delaying paving streets the past several years, Butler City has assembled a tentative list of paving to be accomplished this year.
Streets scheduled to be paved include:
- East Locust Street from Monroe to Cecelia
- West Wayne Street from Washington to Main
- West New Castle Street from Main to Bluff
- West Pearl Street from Washington to Chestnut
- Holcomb Avenue from Thomas Avenue to Roosevelt Boulevard
- Pepperland Boulevard from Roosevelt Boulevard to Pittsburgh Rd
- Pittsburgh Pike a 200-foot section on the east side
- Marvin Street from 212 to Heim Avenue
- New Castle Street from Mercer Street to Route 68
City Council is expected to put this work out to bid next month along with curb ramp and sidewalk replacement to meet ADA requirements. A total of $750,000 has been budgeted with additional portions of some streets paved this summer if enough money is available.
