Three state universities are joining together to form a new partnership that the schools say could change the face of higher education in the region.
Clarion, California, and Edinboro announced they are teaming together for the new partnership. All three universities will keep their name and local identity, however they will share faculty members and services.
The schools also say the agreement will build stronger online undergraduate degrees, and degree-completion programs.
Earlier this year, Slippery Rock and Edinboro were reportedly involved in discussions with a plan to partner together, but SRU officials now say “they are no longer being discussed for integration or partnership with other PASSHE schools at this time.”
