Clay Township is beginning the process to help fix a couple of beaver dams that are causing flooding issues.
The problem is happening near Beaver Dam Road near an old railroad bed. Officials say the problem stems from a number of issues in the area.
In an effort to start fixing the issue, Butler County Commissioners approved an easement agreement that will allow access to a right-of-way. Officials say that gives them the ability to look at the location, develop a plan, and start execution.
Clay Township is handling the project, which was estimated to impact around 200 acres of land.
