A local organization is asking for local volunteers to pitch in with an upcoming cleanup effort.
Butler Downtown is planning a Main Street work day for this Saturday from 9 a.m. to around noon depending on how many people are involved.
Participants will meet at The Venue on Main with coffee and donuts provided as well as items like trash bags. Volunteers are asked to bring work gloves and tools like a flat head screwdriver to dig weeds out of cracks in the sidewalk.
The goal of this effort is to make a visible difference in the Butler community through volunteers joining together to clean and plant downtown. A previous work day planned by Butler Downtown in the spring had to be canceled as a result of coronavirus.
