An air quality alert has been issued for today.
The Department of Environmental Protection has declared a statewide Code Orange alert.
The alert comes as smoke from wildfires in Canada have once again made it into the region.
A Code Orange alert means that air pollution concentrations within the area may be unhealthy for sensitive groups. That includes children, the elderly, and people suffering from asthma, lung disease, and other respiratory issues.
