The college football semifinal playoff match ups have been set following this weekend’s conference title games.
Alabama will now meet Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl New Years Day. The Fighting Irish were selected over Texas A&M despite being blown out by Clemson in the ACC championship game Saturday. The Crimson Tide got past Florida for the SEC title.
Due to fan restrictions – the Rose Bowl will move to Arlington, Texas.
The top four teams for the College Football Playoff remained unchanged over the final month of the regular season.
Clemson will meet Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl New Years day. The Buckeyes defeated Northwestern in the Big Ten championship.
The two winning teams will played of the national championship.
Penn State won their final game of season 56-21 over Illinois. The Nittany Lions finished the year 4-5 but have joined Pitt in opting out of any bowl consideration.
