The Colorado Avalanche won their first Stanley Cup championship in two decades after a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning last night. The Avalanche won the best-of-seven series 4-2. Colorado had lost in the second round of the playoffs the past three seasons. For Tampa Bay, their Stanley Cup run ends at two consecutive.
