Butler County Commissioners are moving forward with a bid to construct a new walking trail at Alameda Park.
Commissioners accepted the $102,000 bid from Holbein Inc. to build the ADA-friendly trail around the multi-purpose field at Alameda.
There was another bid for $96,000, however it did not meet all federal requirements forcing the county to accept the next lowest bid.
The trail will be about a third-of-a-mile and will have ADA accessible ramps.
County officials hope to have construction start this fall.
