A construction worker was seriously injured Wednesday morning at a work site in Center Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after 9:30 a.m. for a worker who had been run over by an excavator on Sunset Drive.
According to State Police, 29-year-old Bradley Wheeler of Grove City was standing behind the excavator and out of the view of the machine’s operator.
Wheeler suffered injuries to his foot, ankle, and lower leg. He was treated at the scene and then flown to Allegheny General Hospital for additional treatment.
