A contractor is facing charges after he allegedly cashed a check but didn’t complete any work.
35-year-old Milo Corll of Cranberry was paid $5,250 for the installation of a new furnace and AC unit at a Cranberry Township home in late May. The check was cashed two days later.
On July 28, the victim reported Corll to police for not completing any work since being paid and not receiving their payment back after it was requested.
Corll has been charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property, and similarly related charges. He’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
