A vehicle crash earlier this week has damaged a building owned by the City of Butler near Father Marinaro Park.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Wednesday and was a topic of conversation during the Thursday night virtual meeting of Butler City Council.
According to Director of Parks/Recreation and Public Property Councilman Jeff Smith, a building used for storage at the park was severely damaged and it is unknown if a wall can be rebuilt. A furnace in the structure also sustained heavy damage.
An insurance adjustor is expected out in the near future to further assess the situation and help determine the next steps that need to be taken. It is not believed that anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
