Butler County saw a higher-than-expected voter turnout for this year’s Municipal Election. That trend was also seen across the state.
According to state data, voter turnout increased by 8 percent across the Commonwealth compared to four years ago.
Locally, Butler County had a 10 percent increase from 2021, with 43 percent of voters casting a ballot this year.
Political experts say the state Supreme Court race, along with local mayor races may have helped surge turnout.
