County officials will be applying for grant money in hopes of providing financial aid to a possible new sewage system in Boyers.
The $1 million grant would go toward the estimated $4.3 million project to replace the sewer system in Boyers.
The project though hasn’t gotten formal approval from county commissioners, as leaders question the affordability of the replacement project.
Officials say they are meeting with another group to review the estimated cost and feasibility of a new sewer system.
Boyers has been using a lagoon-sewer system that was originally utilized by U.S. Steel.
