County commissioners across the state are asking for some reforms that they say will make elections more efficient in the future.
The County Commissioner Association of Pennsylvania is recommending two new reforms to election law.
They are asking for more time to pre-canvass ballots, and to move the deadline for mail-in applications to 15 days prior to the election.
Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel is the president of the organization and said in a statement that the counties have “learned a great deal from our experiences on the front lines” and believes these areas can be improved.
