Butler County officials are working on finding a contractor to take over the hazardous waste and electronic recycling program.
Earlier this month, the county was informed that ECS&R was immediately stopping operations and would no longer hold the monthly recycling program.
County officials say they are currently seeking request for proposals to start the program again. However nothing is immediate.
Until a new business takes over though, residents should call county’s planning office for info on some places that are currently taking waste and electronics.
