Butler County Emergency Services will soon have a new mobile command post.
The $278,000 purchase was approved at last week’s county commissioner meeting.
Officials say the new post will be utilized for things like parades and major events where security is needed. It can also be used during long-term investigations and power outages.
Butler County has borrowed command posts from Mercer and Lawrence Counties prior to this purchase.
