Butler County will be receiving their next round of funding that comes from the state’s opioid settlement.
County commissioners approved the next disbursement, which will see the county get $636,000.
Commissioners say that money will be divided into three groups:
- $100,000 for those in the criminal justice system, including those needing MAT.
- $70,000 for housing programs that emphasize safety for those in recovery.
- $200,000 for community prevention programs.
The remaining $266,000 will go toward a reserve fund that can be used for any of the previous three groups as the funding is needed.
