Butler County is receiving state grant money in order to help address homelessness in local communities.
The Department of Community and Economic Development recently announced that Butler County Commissioners will receive $250,000 through the Emergency Solutions Grant Program.
The County applied for this grant on behalf of Glade Run Lutheran Services and the Victim Outreach Intervention Center for emergency shelter operations while the Care Center will provide rapid rehousing services and Catholic Charities will receive funding for financial and rental assistance for homelessness prevention.
A total of 14 Pennsylvania municipalities and nonprofit organizations will receive over $5 million in federal funding through this program.
