Butler County is applying for a grant that they hope will help connect seniors and veterans to the internet at their new multi-purpose facility in Butler Township.
As work continues on the Aging and Veteran Resource, which is the former Butler Health Club on North Duffy Road, commissioners applied for a $2 million grant through the state’s Broadband Development Authority.
Commissioners say this will help with digital renovation costs and provide access to internet for residents to connect with other services.
The resource center will house the county’s aging office, veteran affairs, and serve as a primary senior center location.
