A former member of the Butler Area School District School Board is speaking out after his resigning earlier this week.
Bill Halle submitted his resignation Sunday according to district officials.
The move comes after a judge issued a temporary protection from sexual abuse violence order against Halle, who is accused of an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old. He is not facing criminal charges at the moment.
In a post to Facebook Monday afternoon, Halle stated “I am simply not legally able to comment right now, but I will when legally permissible.”
Halle also is the founder and CEO of Grace Youth and Family Foundation. An online post earlier this week said that the foundation would not be conducting its summer camp and that The Net Cafe restaurant inside the location on Center Avenue would be closed temporarily.
The Butler Area School District is deciding how they will be filling Halle’s seat. He is the second school board member to resign in as many weeks.
