The number of COVID-19 cases more than double this week in Butler County.
According to the Department of Health, there were 46 new cases of COVID over the past seven days—that’s up from 20 over the previous week.
The DOH also reports three additional deaths due to COVID for the county this past week, bringing the death toll to 423.
Local hospitalizations have remained fairly stable however. Three patients are receiving treatment at Butler Memorial Hospital as of Thursday morning.
Statewide hospitalizations have risen for the first time in weeks, with 319 now hospitalized. That’s up from 245 last Friday.
