COVID cases remain on the rise in Butler County week-over-week.
The latest data from the state Department of Health shows that there were 836 new cases over the last seven days, that’s up about 180 compared to last week.
There were also two additional deaths since last Friday, bringing the death toll for the county to 435.
Local hospitalizations meanwhile dropped slightly since the beginning of the week. As of yesterday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 40 patients for the coronavirus, with five COVID patients in the ICU. (Monday: 44 treated; 8 in ICU)
