Cranberry Township has awarded the bid for phase two of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Brush Creek Tributary Stream Restoration Project.
Last week the Board of Supervisors approved a contract with C. Crump Inc to undertake the second phase of the project.
The project will include removing 320,000 pounds of sediment from a 7,000 foot stretch of the creek connected to the Cedarbrook, Manor Creek Farms, Glenbrook Manor, and Settlers Grove housing developments.
This project is part of an unfunded mandate from the PA Department of Environmental Protection to improve water quality.
