Cranberry Township is officially unveiling new turf on a couple of recreational fields later today.
Township supervisors approved contracts in March to install infield turf on two ballfields in the Cranberry Community Park at a total cost of nearly $700,000.
At 5 p.m. today a ribbon cutting will be held by township officials along with players and officials with the Seneca Valley Baseball and Softball Association.
The Association will reimburse the township for the cost of the project.
