Cranberry Township is considering future renovation plans at local parks.
The board of supervisors recently approved a contract with Herbert, Rowland, and Grubic to complete a Greenways Study and a Community Park Court Complex Plan.
A recently updated parks and recreation plan found that Cranberry residents want improved trails and connectivity between existing open space as well as improvements to the court complex at Community Park.
The Greenways Study will assess natural landscapes and other green resource areas for potential connective development while the Community Park Court Complex Plan and Construction Documents will identify needed improvements to existing tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball courts.
Other development could include two pickleball courts, expanded ADA accessible parking, upgrades to restrooms, and lighting.
