Cranberry Township is moving forward with an addition to their waterpark.
Township Supervisors officially approved the installation of a new splash pad for the upcoming summer season. The latest addition to the waterpark is aimed primarily for younger kids.
The splash pad will be located at the former site of the sand play area. Officials say sand was getting into the water filtration system and had become home to nesting bees.
Officials believe the new splash pad will be ready by this summer.
