Cranberry Township is looking for teenagers for a summertime program that trains the next generation of firefighters.
The township’s Fire Cadet Academy is set to run from July 24-28. The program is for boys and girls ages 14-18.
The students will learn about fire safety, how apparatus and trucks function, along with first-aid and CPR.
Participants will also get first-hand experience by trying on the equipment and watching live demonstrations.
Interested teens don’t have to be a resident of Cranberry Township to participate. More information can be found on Cranberry’s website.
