A Cranberry Township man is in prison after it’s alleged he was under the influence when he crashed his truck and killed two people and injured a third in Beaver County.
On Sunday, just before 4 p.m. emergency crews were called to 11th Street and 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls.
A 23-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were killed in the crash. A 48-year-old woman was also found under the truck when crews arrived on scene.
Police allege the driver of the truck, 45-year-old Israel Cooch, was speeding and under the influence of alcohol when the crash happened. He was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of injuries.
An empty bottle of beer in Cooch’s vehicle, the smell of alcohol on Cooch, and dash camera video was used to charge him with homicide by vehicle and several other charges.
He was denied bail and placed in the Beaver County Prison as he awaits a preliminary Hearing.
