Cranberry Township is getting ready to welcome a new vehicle into their roads department fleet.
Earlier this year, Township supervisors decided to replace a Mack Dump truck from 1985 through the purchase of a 2025 Peterbilt 10-ton truck with a dump body.
A new Epoke salt spreader will be added to the vehicle as part of an upgrade to more effectively use resources to keep roads free of snow and ice.
The new truck will be added to Cranberry’s winter fleet with the oldest current truck becoming an emergency backup which is the spot currently occupied by a nearly 40-year-old truck used for maintenance and water line repairs.
