Cranberry Township officials are moving forward with a couple of local projects that are aiming to improve the water lines and wastewater system.
Thanks to two federal grants, the Franklin Acres Pump Station and a waterline update on Route 19 are set for major updates.
Congressman Mike Kelly helped in securing the $960,000 grant for the Franklin Acres project that will see infrastructure updates at the site.
Meanwhile, $1.25 million is set aside to install new waterlines along Route 19 from Dutilh Road to Rochester Road.
These grants come along with $5 million that will go toward the improvements to the Brush Creek Water Treatment facility.
