A group of Cranberry Township volunteers will begin their mission today of making a difference in the lives of neighbors in need.
Members of the Community Response Team will stop by the Cranberry Township Public Safety Training Center from noon to 12:30 p.m. to receive paperwork and a shopping list of items needed by an area resident.
The volunteers will be given gift-cards to purchase the items on the list and then they will bring those items back to the center. Staff will unload the vehicles while volunteers remain in their vehicles to allow for safe social distancing.
Those interested in participating in this outreach as either a volunteer or as a recipient are asked to contact Cranberry Township. Donations to load onto the gift cards are also being collected by Cranberry Township Community Chest.
