Crews battled a large garage fire over the weekend in Winfield Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center around 3:30 p.m. Sunday for a garage on fire in the 1000 block of Winfield Road.
Crews told dispatchers they could see the smoke from miles away, and soon upgraded it to a two-alarm fire.
When firefighters arrived, they found a garage fully-involved and said it was threatening to damage the home.
Crews were able to knock down the flames and get it under control within 20 minutes.
The damage was significant; it’s not known what started the fire.
