Crews were busy handling brush fires yesterday.
The first brush fire happened around 3:45 p.m. on Dingel Road in Clay Township. Dispatchers say about an acre of field was on fire. Crews got the fire under control in about an hour. However, crews were called back out to the field two more times throughout the evening.
Firefighters were also called for a field on fire in the 400 block of Crisswell Road in Penn Township around 5:30 p.m. yesterday. It was contained within 30 minutes.
