The tricky conditions of the morning commute led to a few crashes around the county.
Crews responded to a two vehicle accident on Route 8 North around 7:30 a.m. in Muddy Creek Township. Dispatchers say one vehicle went into an embankment. One woman suffered a head injury in the crash.
Another accident happened later in the morning around 8:30 on Route 38 in Cherry Township. This one vehicle crash took place near the intersection with Kennedy Lane. A car rolled over into an embankment. The driver was out of the vehicle when crews arrived, but asked for EMS to evaluate her.
Officials urge drivers to use caution throughout the day as the rain is expected to persist until the evening.
