Emergency crews were on the scene of a fire in Cranberry Township Monday morning.
Just before 8:30 a.m., multiple fire crews were called to a home in the 7000 block of Franklin Road near McKenzie Way for a basement fire. The location is just North of Route 228. Franklin Road is just before you get to the Cranberry Commons.
According to dispatchers, flames were seen coming from the basement of what appeared to be a single family home. All individuals were able to get out of the home safely.
For a time, Franklin Road was closed from Rt. 228 to access road behind mall. It re-opened just after 11 a.m.
Crews cleared the scene just before 12 noon.
