Crews were on the scene of a house fire Wednesday morning in the City of Butler.
The initial call came in around 10:15 a.m. for a house fire in the 200 block of Heim Avenue, which is on the South Side of Butler.
City crews responded to find a working fire with smoke coming from a two-story home. Upon arrival, firefighters said the house was abandoned.
Crews began to attack the fire, but said there was still a significant amount of smoke coming from the attic after about a half hour.
They also requested for West Penn to disconnect power due to possible electrical issues.
It’s not clear what started the fire. Crews remained on scene as of 11 a.m.
