After months of practice the Summer Dramatics annual show is ready to take the stage this weekend.
The curtain rises on the production of The Little Mermaid beginning Friday night at the Succop Theater on BC3’s main campus.
The production involves over 50 cast members comprised from local elementary, high schools, and colleges.
Rachel Simms is a theater major at Slippery Rock and plays the lead character of Ariel. She says the project has been very fun this summer.
“I went into this thinking that I was going to take everything I’ve learned and I’m going to apply it,” Simms said. “But immediately, it really did feel like a family. I walked in there and it felt like home. This is exactly what I wanted to do with my summer.”
Shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday night starting at 7:30 p.m. A Sunday matinee will begin at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
