Dassa McKinney Elementary School in the Moniteau School District is on a remote learning day.
District officials say there was an “unexpected failure of the building’s main heating system.”
According to an email from the district, “The safety and comfort of our students and staff are our top priorities. Given the current cold temperatures and the complexity of this issue, we cannot guarantee a productive learning environment in the building.”
Meanwhile, the Moniteau Junior/Senior High School will operate under a normal, in-person schedule.
