A local group is being recognized as they celebrate a special anniversary this weekend.
The Butler County Commissioners issued a proclamation at their meeting earlier this week marking the 100th year of the General Richard Butler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The proclamation notes the group’s non-profit work in securing local and American history. A 100th anniversary celebration was delayed by a year as a result of the pandemic.
The General Richard Butler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution began on February 15th of 1920 as a meeting of local women.
